Renewal of BSCA’s Board of Directors: Announcing the new Directors

Charleroi, 24 June 2021 - At its meeting on Thursday 18 June 2021, the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Brussels South Charleroi Airport duly recorded the end of the mandates of the Directors who had been in office since 2016. It therefore went on to appoint the new members of the Board of Directors. On Thursday 24 June 2021, the first meeting of the Board of Directors was held in the presence of the new Directors and shareholders of Brussels-Charleroi airport. 

The appointment of the new members of the Board of Directors of Brussels South Charleroi Airport is effective as of 24 June 2021. Appointed for a term of five years, the Board of Directors is made up of the following members

Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Brussels South Charleroi Airport

The shareholders of Brussels South Charleroi Airport will also be meeting to sign the amendment to the shareholders’ agreement to formalise the agreements regarding the refinancing of the airport as well as its governance.

Jean-Luc CRUCKE, Minister of Finance, Budget, Airports and Sports Infrastructure, explains: “After a tumultuous few months, I am delighted that this Board of Directors has been confirmed, and that the shareholders’ agreement has been signed. It reflects a new dynamic, a renewed state of peace, greater involvement from each shareholder and a clear sense of solidarity. Congratulations to Gilles SAMYN, whose positive impact has already been felt over the last few months. Well done for everyone’s hard work: there is lots to look forward to, together with the challenges related to the climate. ″

While the health situation has had a huge impact on the whole aviation sector, there are plenty of challenges ahead for the airport. The recovery and diversification of activities and services will also be part of the ambitious targets for the future of Brussels South Charleroi Airport.
