Who are we ?

Overview

Charleroi airport, which became Brussels South Charleroi Airport in 1991, opens up doors from the Walloon Region that lead far beyond its borders. As the country’s second airport and the main gateway to Wallonia, B.S.C.A. is one of the major airports serving Brussels, the capital of Belgium as well as the European Union and the home of NATO’s headquarters.

In 2023, the airport handled a total of 9,396,251 passengers (arrivals and departures).  The network encompasses almost 200 destinations (direct and indirect, available from Pegasus Airlines via Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen), including almost sixty exclusive to Belgium. Five airlines operate scheduled flights from Charleroi: Ryanair Group, Wizzair, Pegasus Airlines, Air Corsica and Volotea

Brussels South Charleroi Airport is now Belgium’s no. 1 airport for European services, allowing Belgians and cross-border passengers to go on holiday in Europe (travelling for pleasure), to meet up with friends and family (VFR flights - Visiting Friends and Relatives) and to go on business trips (business).

The airport has been recognised by its partners on numerous occasions for the quality of its services and air operations.

Today, Brussels South Charleroi Airport is committed to being a responsible regional stakeholder. Its goal is to achieve sensible growth, based on a sustainable business model that respects the environment, passengers and local residents.
