Charleroi, 25 June 2021 - This winter, Irish airline Ryanair is launching a new route between Brussels South Charleroi Airport and the Finnish capital. From 2 November 2021, there will be 3 flights a week between Brussels-Charleroi and Helsinki.

After announcing the opening of new routes to Sweden (Stockholm-Arlanda, from 31 October 2021) and Denmark (Billund, from 1 November 2021), it is now the turn of the world’s second most northerly capital to be linked up with Brussels-Charleroi.

Helsinki, a port city on the Gulf of Finland, will be linked to Brussels South Charleroi Airport thanks to 3 flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The airline’s 189-seat Boeing 737-800s will leave Brussels-Charleroi at 06.30 and land in Finland at 10.15. The return flight to Belgium is scheduled for 10.40, arriving at Brussels-Charleroi at around 12.25.

The city is packed with cultural attractions, including a vast selection of museums to visit. Classic architecture and design are a specific feature of Nordic countries and play an important role in the urban landscape. Tourists can take the time to explore this vibrant, green capital, as well as the nearby islands.

Philippe VERDONCK, Chief Executive Officer of Brussels South Charleroi Airport, explains: “After the launch of a number of routes this summer and others announced for this winter, Ryanair continues to expand from our airline hub. In addition to one more European capital available to our passengers, they will now be able to fly to a new country. ″
